2009/2010 – Years Of Change

2009 has been the start of a new era for Thies B.

The former work grounds at Kirchdorfer Strasse had become weary, with out of date set-ups and – working conditions. Therefore the decision was made to move to new grounds – at Georgswerder Bogen 4.

Mathias D. Kampmann, Managing Director and shareholder: “I predict a great future for Hamburg’s South. Wilhelmsburg is experiencing a second spring awaking and Veddel is turning more and more into a university district. That’s exactly why I am settling with my companies here – to experience the change from scratch and of course also to support it. Moreover the central location is of great importance – and convenient for our staff.”

The new headquarters are adjacent to the motorway approach Georgswerder and are located close to the S-Bahn station “Veddel”.

But not only is the building new. In 2009 two new coaches have been added to the fleet – a Lion’s Coach C (Neoplan) as well as the new Thies flagship - a Scania Irisa PB. And in 2010 the modernization of the fleet will continue – in order to always be able to offer our clients the utmost comfort.
